About

As a psychodynamic psychotherapist, I offer a warm, thoughtful space to explore the feelings and patterns that may be shaping your life in ways that feel difficult or confusing. Together, we’ll look beneath the surface to understand how past experiences and relationships may influence your present struggles — with the goal of fostering greater self-understanding, emotional freedom, and a stronger sense of self. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change grows from insight and emotional awareness. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, or a sense of being stuck, our work can help you connect more deeply with yourself and create new possibilities for growth and well-being. I work online in the mornings and afternoons, and can provide in person sessions in the evenings post 6pm, Fridays and Saturdays.

Experience
2+ years in Psychodynamic psychotherapy
Over the past two years, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals in both online and in-person settings, supporting them through a range of emotional and relational challenges. Whether we’re meeting face-to-face or virtually, I strive to create a space that feels safe, thoughtful, and attuned — a place where you can slow down, reflect, and connect more deeply with yourself. My work is grounded in a psychodynamic approach, guided by curiosity, compassion, and a genuine interest in each person’s unique story.
Approach Psychodynamic psychotherapy is a therapeutic approach grounded in psychoanalytic theory, which originated with the work of Sigmund Freud and evolved through contemporary thinkers such as Melanie Klein, Donald Winnicott, and Wilfred Bion. Over time, it has developed into a nuanced, evidence-informed practice that emphasizes the importance of unconscious processes, emotional development, and the impact of early relationships on present-day experience. In therapy, we work together to explore how past experiences and internalized relationship patterns influence your current thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Attention is given not only to what you consciously know, but also to what may be difficult to articulate — including subtle emotional responses, recurring relational patterns, and the therapeutic relationship itself. By exploring these underlying patterns together, therapy can help you make sense of long-standing struggles, deepen self-understanding, and create new ways of relating to yourself and others. Research supports psychodynamic psychotherapy as an effective treatment for a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and personality concerns. Its focus on insight and emotional understanding fosters enduring psychological growth, helping individuals not only alleviate symptoms but also deepen their capacity for self-reflection, intimacy, and resilience. This approach is not about quick fixes, but about meaningful and lasting change that grows through insight, reflection, and emotional connection.
